This special evening includes the prestigious DANZ Awards Ceremony, where we’ll celebrate outstanding achievements in children’s publishing. You'll have the chance to meet award winners and other creatives who are shaping the future of publishing and highlighting diversity in children’s and young adult literature.

If you want to secure a return bus ticket to the event, pickups will be from our hotel partners Rydges Geelong and Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong from 18:15 with a short drive to the GMHBA Stadium, and return back to the hotels after the conclusion of the event. Tickets cost $10 per person for a return journey. You must select this option within your conference registration via the Currinda platform in advance if you want to secure a space on the bus, and we cannot accommodate on the day tickets.
We will also be joined by FICTION, who are a premier Melbourne-based cover band, known for delivering high-energy performances of the classics, and the latest top 40 hits. Back-to-back winners of the ABIA Wedding Industry Awards for Best Live Wedding Band in 2023 and 2024, they are recognised as one of the best in the state. With over 10 years of experience performing across the country, Fiction combines expert industry knowledge, incredible stage presence, and an infectious energy to create a unique, unforgettable experience.
